A6108 AND A684 HIGH STREET LEYBURN - NOTIFICATION OF ROAD WORKS

Dear Resident

A6108 AND A684 HIGH STREET LEYBURN - NOTIFICATION OF ROAD WORKS

This letter is to inform you that North Yorkshire County Council will be carrying out carriageway patching at the above location from Grove Square to the A6108/A684 mini-roundabout.  Due to a gap in the works programme this work will be carried out on Wednesday 21 August between 6pm and 11pm,

All roads will remain open at all times during the works with vehicle movements controlled by Traffic Ambassadors.  Long vehicle delays could be possible depending on the location of the works, however the site team will make every attempt to keep these delays to a minimum.  Pedestrian access will remain at all times.  Road markings will be replaced week commencing 26 August with short delays to traffic.

The work is part of an extensive programme and as a consequence it is possible that some adjustment to the dates or the duration of the works may be necessary should unforeseen circumstances (such as significant weather events or emergencies on the highway network) arise.  Signs on site will show actual closure dates.

We request your assistance in the following ways:

Please contact the Customer Resolution Centre on 01609 780780 to identify any special access needs you may have during the work period;

Co-operate and comply with any instructions issued by the traffic management operatives and take extra care whilst within the works area;

Remove all vehicles off the road before the start of work each day.

For further information including diversion information and to sign up for alerts please go to:

We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any disruption that these works may cause and would again request your co-operation to help ensure an efficiently and safely executed project.
