Colburn Town Council have taken over the woods in front of the Chase.

Colburn Town Council have taken over ownership of the woods in front of the Chase.  It has been cleared of all the rubbish by kind volunteers and over the winter months, work will be done on it to make it a lovely place to walk around and see the trees, plants and wildlife that has made its home in Colburn Sidings Woods.  Bird boxes are been put up to get ready for next year and hopefully we get lots of little visitors to the woods.

THE CONSULTATION MEETING REGARDING THE PROPOSED HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ON COLBURN BUSINESS PARK, ON THE 15TH DECEMBER IN COLBURN VILLAGE HALL IS NO LONGER TAKING PLACE

THE CONSULTATION MEETING REGARDING THE PROPOSED HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ON COLBURN BUSINESS PARK, ON THE 15TH DECEMBER IN COLBURN VILLAGE HALL IS NO LONGER TAKING PLACE   Colburn Town Council (CTC) has unanimously agreed that they will lead a move to safeguard Colburn Business Park from the building of houses on what has been employment land for over ten years.  To that end they have already met with the current businesses and Richmondshire District Council. CTC are particularly concerned that if housing is permitted on the park, businesses will choose to move to alternative locations outside Richmondshire – extremely worrying as the original...
